About the Hotel

Texas Kings Hotel occupies two renovated turn-of-the-century buildings on the historic square at the center of the oldest town in Montague County – Saint Jo, Texas – founded in 1854 where the Chisholm Trail and the California Road intersected.  Named for the three “kings” of Texas commerce – cattle, cotton, and oil – it was fully restored in 1999 to celebrate the history behind the hotel and pay tribute to its roots as an authentic piece of the Old West.
